Image Navigation and Hotkeys

Objective: In this video and/or step by step walkthrough, you’ll learn how to navigate the background image on your page

Zoom In or Out – Using Your Mouse

Hover your mouse over the area of the background image where you would like to zoom

Scroll your mouse wheel forward to zoom in and backward to zoom out

On the image below, we have shown the area where we zoomed in with red

Zoom In or Out – Using the Floating Toolbar

On the Floating Toolbar, click the Zoom tool

Click your mouse close to the area you would like to zoom in, then left click and hold while dragging your mouse in a rectangle

For purposes of this tutorial in the image below, the area we want to zoom into is shown within the red square

Once you release your left click, the screen will zoom into that area and the perimeters fit the borders of your middle canvas

Pan Image – Mouse Wheel

Using the scroll button on your mouse wheel, click and hold it down and your mouse arrow will turn into a hand icon

While still holding in your scroll button you can move your mouse to drag the image left or right and up and down.

Pan Image – Floating Toolbar

Click the Pan button on your toolbar and again, your mouse arrow will turn into a hand

Here, you can left click and drag left to right or up and down.

Move Image Using Keyboard or Scroll Bar

Keyboard:

Hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard and use your middle scroller on your mouse wheel to move the image up or down

Hold the Shift key on your keyboard and use your middle scroller on your mouse wheel to move the image left to right

Scroll Bar:

On the right side of the window, left click and drag to move the image up or down

On the bottom of the window, left click and drag to move the image left to right

Fit to Screen

On the floating toolbar, click Fit to Screen to take the image back to the default view

Fullscreen

Clicking Fullscreen will hide the left and right panes to give more room to work with

Clicking Fullscreen again will return you to the default view
